There are a number of ways that Lisk Landscape Innovations can help you recycle storm water. Stormwater recycling is preferred by most townships in South Jersey. Lisk and their experienced licensed engineers can help assist with the Eco-Friendly Landscaping design process. A Grading Plan along with soil testing may be required in order to obtain a permit with specific solutions. Here are some of the most common methods we perform to mitigate your stormwater issue.
Rain gardens
Rain gardens are created in a depressed area of your lawn and are designed to capture rainwater. They help reduce runoff and flooding while also cutting down on pollutants and sediment that typically gather in storm water runoff—and later enter storm drains. Rain gardens can be beautiful and are often filled with flowing grasses, colorful plants and perennials. Plus, they often attract butterflies. When planted properly, they recharge groundwater, conserve water and even help eliminate mosquitoes, which require at least seven days of standing water to complete their reproduction cycle.
Pervious pavement
